This free webinar is about how to reorient school and teacher practices away from creating lessons from scratch, towards adopting, adapting and refining materials from a shared bank to meet students at their point of need.

We will cover:

• The evidence base supporting the use of shared, high quality curriculum resources to improve student outcomes.
• Steps for implementing a shared bank of high quality instructional materials across the whole school.
• The critical role of intellectual preparation: the process of planning and refining existing resources (either by an individual teacher or team of teachers) to support responsive teaching and ensure students are able to think, learn, and engage with the key knowledge and skills within a lesson.
• What intellectual preparation looks like in practice and how it differs from lesson planning and/or making curriculum resources from scratch.

This webinar is based on Ochre’s new Guide for Intellectual Preparation and is relevant to the implementation of Ochre materials as well as other high-quality curriculum resources. It will be of use to school leaders and classroom teachers, across all phases of learning and subject areas.

This webinar will run on Thursday 7th May at 7.30pm– 8.30pm AEST and will run for 1 hour. The session will be recorded. Registered participants will be emailed a copy of the recording.
